The outfit above was inspired by the crazy piece of art below. I decided to challenge myself and put together outfits with tons of prints, so I chose two shirts with crazy prints that I thought most women (not just hijabis) would over look. Now you don't have to because I think there's a pretty cool example on how to wear those crazy printed tunics, so here are some tips;
--> DO NOT wear a crazy printed hijab with a crazy printed top
--> to be safe, just let the tunic be printed, and don't wear anything else printed (keep the rest solid)
--> if you're REALLY persistant on wearing more prints, make it in the shoes, or maybe the underscarf, so it's just peeping out of your hijab, or maybe the bag (but unless you do it well, the bag and the underscarf are pushing it)
--> Take one color from the printed top and use it in your hijab and shoes and bag..
--> ALWAYS keep pants solid if you're wearing a printed top.
--> To make a crazy printed top settle down a bit (hehe) just add some bangles in a solid color (a color from the tunic)
RUDE AWAKENING: a sister reminded me about hijabis not wearing clothing with pictures of people/animate objects on it. SO DON'T! hehe hahaha. BUT! Don't let that put you off prints! Because as much as you definatly wouldn't wear that exact tunic, you definatly can wear prints!! :D
